Just because it’s hilarious…

This was at Tower City in Cleveland, Ohio. Included are photos of the Cleveland Public Square Ice-Skating Rink. But the true comedy was the Choo Choo Train.

As a giant toddler at heart, I  wanted to ride the Christmas train with my kids.  My daughter is  a teenager, so I naturally had to force her. And…it went well…yeah ok. She’ll probably run away screaming the next time I ask.

Just keep replaying it…for some reason it gets funnier :D:D (For the record, that isn’t my kid in the back…I have no idea whose kid it is…but the whole thing was hilarious. Just a little guy, enjoying the trip!)

…the ENTIRE trip…. Click here for the Instagram Video. It will open in a new window. WordPress may not allow the EMBED feature without premium, but I still want you guys to see it.

If you don’t see the video below, just click the link above. And keep scrolling for the pics of Tower City and the Public Square Ice-Skating Rink.

Chocolate and Cinnamon with a Peppermint Twist

…Sugar and Spice…and everything nice….that what fall cookies are made of….

For this recipe, you will need:

  • ! cup butter
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

12091471_1029609123740201_1027821041469265754_o

You will also need 2 large bowls for mixing. Mix butter…

12140061_1029609197073527_252754566871745538_o

With light brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, egg and vanilla….

12091279_1029609337073513_5916217984486756879_o

In a separate bowl  add flour, baking and salt. Mix well.

12110011_1029609450406835_1770642225803473744_o

Add the wet to the dry and mix….

12109815_1029609557073491_5007909029960430783_o

Line a third bowl with wax paper and scoop it all in the center. Cover and chill for one hour.

Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet (I prefer coconut oil)

12038775_1029609770406803_6713275501182774766_o

Add your bits. I served the peppermints on the side this time.  Also, if you prefer to have non-fully melted chocolate…you can add those half-way through as well….

12113314_1029611890406591_2469218071920845026_o

Bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes / Rule of thumb…less time for softer cookies, more time for crunchy.

12068791_1029617533739360_2888246052626241057_o

Then chillax….take in the fall scents and reflect….because quick as wink…we’ll be full speed ahead into another year of quietly anticipating the arrival of fall seasons to come.
